My name is Gina Rosales. I am from Veracruz,Mexico where I graduated as a Social
Worker. I worked at the Department of Preventive Medicine in a Community Health
Center # 57 of IMSS.
I worked as a Social Worker in Community Development at FIOSCER with inmigrant
farmers. As the Social Work Professor at CETIS No.102 Nochixtlan, OAX. Mexico, I
taught Social Work courses, assisted students in writing their thesis and as the
counselor in the Social Work Department.
I came to USA in 2000 with my family. I lived in Ames, IA. until 2006, where I was a
Spanish teacher volunteer at Meeker Elementary School for 3 years .
I came to Nebraska in 2006 because of the location of my children's University and
started to work at Centro Latino in October 2007.
I am really happy to work helping people specially with my people, Latinos because as
immigrants we need to learn together and break down all barriers and develop skills
about living in this new community. I am glad to be able to help.
